Follow music producers, The Spacies, on an epic outdoor adventure to record vocals for their new single “Here and Now”

C4 Belts, the leading and original adjustable belt company, has partnered with Archipelago Entertainment to bring you an action-packed music video project featuring electronic music duo The Spacies’ new single.  In the video, Ross Lara and Dave Cook of The Spacies wake up at the Bivvi Hostel in Breckenridge, Colorado while on a ski trip with friends.  They look up to the mountains, strap on their C4 Belts, jump on their snowmobiles and ride to 12,149 feet in the Colorado Rockies to record their new single.  These vocal tracks are actually used in the music track of the video.  Dave Cook, vocalist for The Spacies, said, “My adrenaline was soaring just from the snowmobile climb to get up there— I was afraid the thin-air may have an impact on my voice, but it didn’t.  Caught up in the moment, I believe I laid down some of my best work yet, and all on top of the Rocky Mountains.”

Produced and directed by Rind-Raja Picture Company and Permagrin Films, this video takes you along breathtaking mountain scenery, action-packed winter adventure, and incredible music vocals that will leave your heart pounding!   The video project was made possible by modern technology that now enables music artists to bring the recording capability of a professional studio right to their laptop.   In this case, to the top of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado where The Spacies demonstrate how they push the boundaries of modern music creation. The vision for both the video project and recordings came to The Spacies, Ross Lara and Dave Cook, through the inspiration they receive from the world around them.

The partnership between C4 Belts and The Spacies was a natural one.  According to Robbie Hart founder of C4 Belts, “We decided to partner with Ross and Dave of The Spacies because they represent everything that the C4 brand believes in: breaking away from the norm, having fun outdoors and pushing creative and physical boundaries.  Most importantly, those guys know how to have fun!”  The band was joined by amateur skier John Clewe and celebrity friends Caleb Reynolds of CBS’s Big Brother and UFC Model, Arianny Celeste, during their snowmobile adventures.  Professional skiers Colby Stevenson and Kyle Smaine bring their contagious energy and incredible talent to Copper Mountain’s half pipe.

How did they do it? Modern electronics.
The vocals for ”Here and Now “ were recorded on top of the Colorado Rockies using only a MacBook Pro, the Apogee ONE recording interface, a Shure SM7 and a pair of headphones.   The video project Powder To The People was shot using a Sony RED digital cinema camera by Marc Donahue of Permagrin Films.  Together, the energetic recordings and stunning video capture the essence of The Spacies as musicians and artists who are willing to push all creative restrictions.
