I’m not sure if you’ve noticed latelly, but the stars in Hollywood are all glittering in Blue Nile. Blue Nile, Inc. is the leading online retailer of diamonds and fine jewelry and is a locally based company out of Seattle. The Company has some of the highest quality standards in the industry and offers thousands of independently certified diamonds and fine jewelry at prices significantly below traditional retail. Stars like Penelope Ann Miller are hitting the red carpet during award season at the SAG Awards and the Oscars in Blue Nile’s hottest jewelry. Watch out Tiffany & Co., Neil Lane, Lorrain Schwartz, Harry Winston and Chopard, Hollywood seems to love Blue Nile.
Recently, Penelope Ann Miller attended the Academy Awards in Los Angeles, wearing a rare three-carat pink radiant diamond ring, surrounded by pink and white diamonds; an art-deco 24-carat diamond encrusted cuff bracelet; and 11-carat halo drop diamond earrings from Blue Nile. The one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces are part of Blue Nile's "Extraordinary Collection" created exclusively for celebrity red carpet appearances and premiere Hollywood events. The collection is absolutely gorgeous and ranges in pricing from an affordable $500 to $125,000.
The BAFTA Brittania Awards in Beverly Hills, California, was also packed with Blue Nile on both men and women. Helen Mirren, Academy Award winning actress, wore Blue Nile's Tahitian pearl and diamond drop earrings. The earrings were also from Blue Nile's "Extraordinary Collection”. The earrings showcased Tahitian cultured pearls and more than 160 pavé-set round diamonds set in 18-karat white gold. This is an extremely affordable option for getting a fantastic piece of world class jewelry from Blue Nile.
Getting these stars adorned in Blue Nile is certainly no easy task and is the result of a lot of hard work by Blue Nile’s Fashion Publicist, Jessica Piha. Jessica has travelled over 5,000 miles back and forth from Seattle to Hollywood for awards season, bringing these exquisite pieces directly to the stars. I asked Jessica how she gets this done and she told me that “I often work with celebrity stylists. In Penelope Miller’s case, I worked with Badgley Mischka’s PR person to see what they are custom making for her to wear. I then go to my buying team at Blue Nile to see what we can bring in specifically for that specific star. We go through numerous product consultations before selecting the pieces to bring down to Los Angeles for them.” Well, keep up the fantastic work Jessica and Blue Nile. I personally can’t wait to see what the stars are wearing from your collections next!
